Food Safety Audits & Inspections

Auditing services help verify compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, continuously improve food safety and quality system, and increase market access and consumer confidence. Food safety audits provide evidence that your food, ingredients or packaging materials are manufactured in a sanitary processing environment and help determine if food safety related hazards are properly identified and controlled based on the internationally recognised Codex HACCP methodology. Food Safety & HACCP Compliant Audits

Having a third-party audit helps your company meet your customers requirements and expand your market. We perform third party audits to verify your food safety and quality system against regulatory requirements and industry practices through document/records review and on-site observations. Evaluations are conducted by trained and experienced auditors with extensive knowledge of the food industry, to provide an objective overview of your food safety programs. The 3rd party audits provide food manufacturers, distribution centres and food packaging facilities with an independent unbiased review of conformance, and areas for improvement.

Supplier Audits and Monitoring

GFSI Food Safety Group helps manufacturers, retailers and food service companies conduct food safety supplier audits to evaluate the effectiveness of the supplier food safety management systems. We can conduct supplier audits to support your supplier approval program and/or to monitor your supplier performance on an on-going basis by performing the following activities:

  • Conducting supplier audits to assist in selecting your new suppliers
  • Ensuring the suppliers compliance with regulatory requirements. Providing a periodic independent audit to monitor your supplier performance.
  • Reviewing and following up with supplier audit corrective action plan
  • Conducting investigation of supplier food safety and quality related complaints

Internal Audits and Inspections

Internal auditing is a key component of any food safety and quality management system, such as FSSC 22000 SQF and BRC. The GFSI recognised schemes and regulatory agencies require that companies must verify the effective application of their food safety management system, and the implementation of the requirements of the food safety standards. We provide independent internal audits to help your facility meet global food safety standard requirements, and ensure continuous improvement within a company by performing the following internal audits activities:

  • Determine scope and frequency of internal audits in relation to the risks of your process
  • Schedule and conduct internal audits to verify the effectiveness of your food safety and quality system, include facility and equipment inspections, prerequisite programs and HACCP plans
  • Conduct a pre-assessment audit to assist in identifying gaps in your existing food safety system against the SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000 standards
